“Let’s Talk About Power!”

With a myriad of filmmakers from around the world, we will explore where power lies and how power can be shared when we start to understand our past and present. We will talk about decolonisation, restorative storytelling and the struggle to find your own place.


Moyo is an actor and producer. She script developed and starred in the BAFTA and BIFA nominated tense period drama 1745, a Scottish Film Talent Network and BFI.NETWORK funded short film.

She recently produced her first short film Rock Paper Scissors in Tokyo, Japan which screened at the BAFTA Qualifying Underwire Film Festival, UK.

The Akande Sisters, a producing team of two sisters, Moyo and her sister Morayo Akande, are the founders of Lucid Dreamers Productions and continue to produce international content.

As an actor, Moyo has an extensive list of television credits in particular for the BBC. Recently appearing in a leading role in the Royal Television Society award winning TV mini-series, Guilt. She also starred in the hit BBC One primetime series The Cry, nominated for an International Emmy Award 2019, The Royal Television Society Awards 2019 and The National Television Awards 2018, amongst others.
