To see and change injust norms, we need to look at the world with a multitude of gazes. Queer creatives from around the world will share their worldviews and explain how they are challenging patriarchal and heteronormative structures in their work.

Skadi Loist is Visiting Professor for Production Cultures in Audiovisual Media Industries at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam and PI of the research project “Film Circulation on the International Film Festival Network” (BMBF 2017–2020). Recent projects: “Who directs German feature films: Gender report 2009-2013” (with E. Prommer, 2015), “Where are the Women Directors? Report on Gender Equality for Directors in the European Film Industry 2006-2013. National Report – Germany” (EWA 2016, with E. Prommer).
Together with Deb Verhoeven (UTS), she established the International Screen Industries Consortium (ISICon), an international network of screen industry researchers analyzing the position of women in screen industries across the globe.
